Bwindi education programme
£95 of £40.000 raised
The Bwindi Foundation Model School was built in 2018, and opened in early 2019. It currently has 4 classrooms, baby, middle, top and P1, with plans to extend with extra classrooms and a library in the future. The school supplies 140 poor or orphaned children with free education, and this number is expected to rise as more poor families see the huge benefit with no cost.
The subjects taught include reading, writing, mathematics, social studies, religious education, physical education, art, drama and environmental subjects.
Using an holistic approach that integrates cognitive, emotional and social development, our school hopes to provide our younger students with a strong educational foundation.
